Mt. Cline

Elevation: 3361m, 11027ft
Grid Reference: on 83 C/2 Cline River
Location: Just outside the park boundary on the David Thompson Highway. The summit can be seen to the East of Mt. Wilson while descending to the Crossing from Lake Louise.

Climbing

Ice: Apparently one ice climb was done somewhere on the mountain by an outdoor ed program years ago. Nearby is the Michelle Lakes Waterfall which has only seen a couple of ascents. This waterfall is available for Heli-Ice Guiding by COE guides.

Rock: Some routes have been done on the enormous boulder below Mt. Owen where a good basecamp can be placed for the normal route on Cline.

Alpine:

Southwest Ridge (II 5.4) - The normal route, usually a 2 or 3 day outing but can be done easily in a day. See the new 11000ers book for details.

North Ridge (III WI2 5.3) - See the new 11000ers book for details.

East Face (IV 5.10) - A direct line up the massive East Face. The hardest alpine rock route in the Corridor.
